Defiant UDA Kisii Ward Rep Bouse Mairura has sensationally accused Country Governor Simba of being behind his woes.
Mairura, who was addressing mourners at Ibanchore area, Masimba in Masaba South on Friday during the burial of Priscilla Nyaosi, 97, however, vowed that he would not to relent in his oversight role of the country boss despite the ‘punishing’ one month suspension from the county assembly seatings.
Nyaosi was granny to former Masimba MCA James Anunda.
“As it still stands, there is absolute evil everywhere you go, there is nothing good going on at the County at the moment and that is what informs my queries for accountability and fairness in resource distribution which is not happening, ” Mairura said.
The Masimba Ward MCA is currently serving a one month suspension after the House and Privileges Committee found him guilty of a misconduct.
The Committee had accused of violating the House rules when he invited a contingent of police officers , in full riot gear, to give him protection at the precincts of the House over claims that goons had planned to attack him.
It further accused of failing to enforce the provision in the guide of rules and regulations worth of the conduct of the County Assembly when he allowed the unwarranted presence of the officers.
The admission of strangers into the Assembly precincts sparked tension and unnecessary attention both from the media and members of the public, said a report presented to the Assembly by the committee before members voted to suspend him.
Mairura has since gone to court to fight the suspension.
And speaking Friday, he said his hard push for probity in the Arati administration was to blame for his current political problems.
He especially faulted the Governor for failing to release funds for development on time to various Wards.
He said there was little development going on in Kisii the lethargy by the former Dagoreti North MP.
” Let’s stop lying to our people, personally i don’t want to live this lie. We have actually done nothing as MCAs because of the delays ,” the defiant Ward Rep stated.
Speaking of the economy, Mairura said most Kenyans were hurting and asked the President to reign in on inflation.
” We can no longer run away from this fact,i know you’re hurting, i Would only pray that our leaders do something to ease the misery,” he said.
Former Masimba Ward Rep James Anunda , aka Riyenga, on his part, asked the residents to give the Kisii Governor a chance to deliver on his promises.
” We gave him that mandate and it would only be fair if we give him time, “he said.
