Serious land fraud allegations have emerged against John Mugo Njeru, a former journalist with Nation Media. Disturbing details reveal that Njeru is implicated in multiple cases involving the forgery of a title deed for prime property in Mombasa.
This property was originally owned by Hezron Ndanyi Lidede, and it is claimed that Njeru, in collaboration with Peter Masha Kalama, engaged in fraudulent activities to create an irregular title for the land.
Utilizing his connections from his journalistic career, Njeru reportedly collaborated with corrupt land officials to manipulate sensitive land records, ultimately resulting in the issuance of new title deeds.
The situation escalated when the National Land Commission (NLC) conducted hearings, leading to the annulment of the fraudulently obtained titles and reaffirming the rightful ownership of the Ndanyi family.
Njeru proceeded and tried to rectify the titles, but all was in vain. He was later arrested and charged with forgery and fraud, with warrants of arrest issued against him.
Furthermore, the court heard that he was linked to another Sh700M land fraud. Njeru was also linked to an SGR land dispute where he had tried to stop the project unsuccessfully.
He had claimed that the project was carried out at some point in his piece of land
